Since the public beta announcement back in January, AFM has been quiet regarding the Mooney M20 Collection and the upcoming V4.0 update. However, Cooper LeComp (of AFM) has now provided some additional insight. Please allow me to briefly summarize below.
The scope of the update has changed into a “massive” rework of the entire aircraft. Moreover, Steaven McKenzie of TorqueSim has been retained to provide assistance with respect to texture work and the 3D model. According to Cooper, “…we are essentially redoing the full aircraft inside and out. It is getting many of the amazing features we have brought to the Pocket Rocket!”
In regard to a potential release timeline, Cooper notes, “We do not have a timeline yet for this update, but we will be pushing incremental updates through our public beta channel over the coming weeks and months.”
Perhaps most important, the update will be free of charge for existing users.
