Fly the Maddog X, What’s Next

Leonardo Software House, the development team behind Fly the Maddog X have posted a new status update concerning ongoing project initiatives.

First, release build SP1b352 is expected next week – the update restores cabin lights when using PBR and solves certain DEP/ARR CTD events.  This represents the final cumulative update for all 32-bit platforms as well as Prepar3D 4.2 and 4.3.  Following release, active development will be directed towards Prepar3D V4.4 only.

Next, with respect to upcoming project initiatives, the team is currently in the process of implementing PBR effects for the virtual cockpit.  Keep in mind, similar to external PBR, this feature will be completely optional.

Lastly, the developer is moving away from TFDi Design RealLight in favour of a new proprietary lighting system.  This decision allows for more flexibility in the future.

Check out a virtual cockpit PBR teaser below.
