FlyJSim, Q4XP Development Update and More

FlyJSim has shared some new information regarding various ongoing projects for X-Plane 11.

First, the Q4XP which is of course a new rendition of the developers existing Dash 8 Q400 model. According to FlyJSim, the project is currently in the modeling + texture stage and is being recreated faithfully according to real world specifications. For example, the landing gear mechanism features near millilitre accuracy. Moreover, the aircraft will utilize multiple texture maps ensuring the maximum level of detail possible. The developer notes, “Every screw and dirt streak will be visible from close proximity. We can’t wait […] to see how painters utilize our HQ textures.” As expected, the model will feature PBR materials.

Next, with respect to the 727 Series Pro V3 and the 737 TwinJet Pro V3, the developer is currently looking for feedback regarding X-Plane 11.30+ usability. Specifically, thoughts about the flight model, fuel burn, and so forth. Expect a new “quality of life” patch in the coming weeks to refresh both models. The patch will include several new features and performance adjustments, however, no specific information has been provided.

Lastly, at the very end of the update, FlyJSim remarks, “I will say that we are extremely busy developing away… and cooking up some “things” in the kitchen that you might not know about yet…”
