Nimbus Chicago O’Hare Coming Soon, X-Plane 11

Back in late August, Nimbus Simulation Studios released a comprehensive set of preview images showcasing the developers upcoming KORD, Chicago O’Hare International Airport for X-Plane 11.  Accompanying the preview imagery, the developer clarified, “we are close to release”.

Now, only weeks later, the developer has posted several more preview captures alongside the caption, “Get your charts and get ready for KORD”.  Clearly, the project is very close to release.

Please see below for a selection of project preview images from the preceding weeks.

Keep in mind, the scenery is a complete remake of the legacy version – as such, the latest iteration is to feature PBR materials, 3D trees, WT3 compatibility, custom lighting, 4K terminal textures, animated jetways, and much more.

To review the source imagery and associated commentary from late August, see the preview thread via the x-plane.org forums.  If you’d like to review the latest from earlier today, visit the source post via the developers Facebook page.
