Aimee Sanjari has posted a statement on behalf of the Orbx team regarding cross platform discounts. Unfortunately, it appears the program will be discontinued two weeks following the release of Innsbruck for X-Plane 11. Please see below.
As you know, over the past year we have worked tirelessly to bring many of your Orbx favorites from the ESP platforms over to X-Plane 11. What started out as dipping a toe in the water has now led to over 20 products being both natively developed and ported over to Laminar’s platform, and we are amazed at the way the X-Plane community has embraced us.
We believe flight simulation should be accessible for everyone – as a result, we have historically shouldered the costs of FSX/P3D upgrades and free product updates every time a new version of P3D was released. Due to the high volume of X-Plane products being developed, we will no longer be offering the 40% cross platform discount moving forward.
LOWI Innsbruck Airport for X-Plane 11 will be the final product to feature a 40% cross platform discount, which will run for two weeks from launch. After the two weeks are up, the cross-platform discount will be removed from all Orbx products.
We pride ourselves in the hard work and R&D which goes into every one of our titles, and are firmly committed to offering you value for money as well as the quality you have come to expect from us. We would like to thank you all for your continued support, and look forward to sharing new and excited projects with you in the near future.
