Orbx TrueEarth US Oregon, X-Plane 11, Released

UNITED STATES – Less than a week after the initial introduction, Orbx has released TrueEarth US Oregon for X-Plane 11. According to Ben McClintock of Orbx, the state “…has such a varied landscape, from forests to mountains, from deserts to coastlines – and we have filled it with accurately placed bridges, parks, train tracks, craters, and lighthouses.”

The package features approximately 94,755 square miles of detailed coverage including 2,746,911 buildings, hundreds of millions of trees, and almost 1000 custom POIs. Moreover, “We have transformed the city of Portland into a breathtaking CityScape to explore, while also enhancing other prominent cities such as Corvallis and Salem.”

Keep in mind, the scenery is offered in two separate versions – HD and SD. The HD version uses 1.2m/pixel ZL17 imagery whilst SD uses 2.4m/pixel ZL16 (and is intended for those with less disk space who tend to fly above 2,000 feet).

Check out some release images from both versions below. For those interested, the official video trailer was also posted just yesterday.
