Prepar3D Version 4.5, Nearing Beta

Allen Kriesman of Orbx has disclosed some new information regarding Prepar3D V4.5.  In the context of a discussion regarding performance challenges relating to Orbx CityScene products, Allen comments, “Today I received some exciting news from Adam Breed at LM.”  Shortly thereafter, Allen continues, “The developers at P3D have identified the anomaly that has been causing long load times for large scenery packages, with lots of custom models, like our CityScene products.  An enhancement has been put into place and will be released with the P3D V4.5 beta that should be out in about a week.”

Keep in mind, there is still no release timeline for Prepar3D V4.5 and the platform has not yet entered beta testing.

The remainder of Allen’s post addresses an upcoming patch for Orbx CityScene Orlando which is said to greatly enhance performance for 32-bit users.
