SimCoders Reality Expansion Pack 4, Economy System, Released

SimCoders has released Reality Expansion Pack 4.  The latest release build is completely free of charge for existing customers and represents a major update to the existing software.  Although the update brings various new features to REP, the primary item is the new Economy System.  According to the developer, “The Economy System is a way to make flying REP much more fun.  It rewards your flight time and your landings with virtual dollars.  The dollars are then stored in your REP’s bank account.  You can spend your money for the fuel, the everyday maintenance of your aircraft or repair/replace the broken parts.”

Moreover, SimCoders is currently working on integration with FSEconomy – in the near future, it will be possible to use FSEconomy funds to pay for REP maintenance.

For those unfamiliar with the SimCoders Reality Expansion Pack, the software is available for select third party aircraft and replaces certain internal components of the default X-Plane simulator with enhanced features.  The software obviously now also integrates the new Economy System feature.

Keep in mind, the update is compatible with all REP aircraft including those no longer available for purchase.  With respect to installation, the developer notes, “To get this update you can either download your favourite REP planes from the store again or just use the SkunkCrafts Updater.”
