VSkyLabs DC-3/C-47, Version 2.79 Information

VSkyLabs Aerospace Simulations has published some new information regarding the upcoming version 2.79 update for the developers DC-3/C-47 Flying Lab project for X-Plane 11.  Keep in mind, once the project reaches version 2.80, the existing package will be separated into three distinct products, that being the C-47 Skytrain, Modern DC-3, and Turboprop DC-3.  For more specific clarification regarding the evolution of this project, see our post dated October 16, 2018.

Version v2.79 release is expected to happen NEXT WEEK!

The VSKYLABS DC-3/C-47 Flying Lab Project is being heavily developed and about to reach version v2.79, which is going to be an important milestone, as it will set the project to stabilize as the: VSKYLABS C-47 Skytrain FLP.

****** Upcoming version v2.79 highlights ******

-Project’s main focus is the C-47 variant. Name will be changed to the ‘VSKYLABS C-47 Skytrain FLP’.

-Massive reconstruction, engineering, remodeling and re-texturing process has started.

-Preparations for a C-47 cargo area 3D environment were made (optional feature).

-STMA AutoUpdater is BACK.

-Full VR optimization completed (realistic yoke with latching, hot-spots, other refinements).

-Right after v2.79 release, the project will continue to evolve progressively with the use of the STMA AutoUpdater built in plugin.

****** Upcoming v2.79 development notes ******

-Development plan for this project is focused on the C-47 aircraft, its systems, cockpit environment, its internal and external features.

-Current passenger seats configuration and its matching, existing liveries are fully compatible with the upcoming v2.79, and will remain as the default configuration for the plane in the future. (only minor adaptations will be required).

-A C-47 cargo/cabin 3D environment is being constructed progressively (already prepared and optional in the upcoming v2.79).
