X-Codr + AeroDesign, Freeware Montgomery Regional Airport

UNITED STATES – X-Codr, in partnership with AeroDesign, have formally announced KMGM, Montgomery Regional Airport for X-Plane 11. Already at a relatively advanced stage of development, the project is described as “[p]ayware (quality) for free.” In fact, according to the official project announcement, “…by all standards except the price this is payware.” Release is tentatively planned for mid year.

Keep in mind, although this is technically a project announcement, the scenery was actually previewed back in February via an exclusive with Threshold.

For those unfamiliar with the area, the airport is a joint civil-military facility located in Montgomery, the capital of Alabama. The airport is currently served by three commercial airlines including American Eagle, Delta Connection, and ViaAir and is also home to the 187th Fighter Wing of the Alabama Air National Guard.
